Use A Green Tea Scrub For Healthier Skin

By Eunice Pugh

Babies are born with the most soft and pure skin. Untouched and untainted by the sun, air pollution or chemical products. As we age and our skin is exposed to the elements, the skin changes. It becomes less elastic, prone to acne and other bacterial infections and toxins in the air or in our bodies deplete its quality and appearance. Adding a green tea scrub into any skincare regime is highly beneficial.

Medical experts have shown that green tea has really wonderful healing and health benefits. These include better overall health, weight loss and detox. Celebrities have used it and even vouched for its benefits.

With its bitter taste and high caffeine, this tea is not too easy to pallet. Some are so brave as to drink it without any sugar or milk for optimum benefit. But its use as an external healer has now also come to the fore.

Many beauty products such as face creams or body washes now use the green tea extract because of its magnificent properties. These include acting as an antioxidant, removing harmful toxins from the skin on a daily basis. It is the accumulation of toxins that wears down our bodies and skin in particular, taking away its natural glow.

It can be found in facial washes, creams, soap bars or even exfoliating scrubs. All of these work equal well. However, it is advised to speak to a health professional about which product best suits your skin type. Oily skin caused by dirt and bacteria will most likely need a good daily exfoliator.

It is a good idea to add a green tea scrub to your daily or weekly skin regime. This could be once a week or just in the mornings as a refreshing start to the day. Scrubs are always good to open up the pores and rejuvenate, making you feel younger and more vibrant.
